I make a legacy

By choosing to leave part of your assets to GRET,

thousands of men and women in the world can take charge of their own future.

Transfer your assets or your property

Making a bequest is a strong commitment, underpinned by the values of solidarity and equity you uphold.

Enabling GRET to benefit from your generosity is an act that over the long-term will respond in innovative manner to the challenges of poverty, inequalities and environmental degradation.

GRET has an endowment fund, which is authorised to receive all forms of donations (gifts, bequests and life insurance). Your donations to the GRET fund are exempt from rights of transfer:  this ensures that 100% of the amounts transferred are allocated to our social missions.

To support our actions, you can:

  • Make a bequest: leave all or part of your assets to us after you die in your will, enabling your convictions and commitments to endure. If you have no spouse or children, you can decide to leave all or part of your assets to the GRET fund, or to the heir of your choice. If you have children or a spouse, you will have to leave them the portion of your assets due to them by law (“compulsory portion”); however, you can dispose freely of the remaining portion (called “freely disposable portion”).

This is an important decision that can raise numerous questions: what can I bequeath? How can I draw up my will? How will my bequest be used? Our bequests department is available to answer these questions in total confidentiality, without any commitment on your part.

  • Make a donation: donate a property to us, a sum of money, a work of art or a securities account, in order to contribute to our actions during your lifetime. Several types of donations are possible: unrestricted ownership (immediate transfer of a property to the GRET fund), bare ownership (to retain use of the property during your lifetime), temporary usufruct or donation through inheritance. Support from your notary public is essential in terms of providing advice and drawing up the act. Our department is available to answer any questions you may have.
  • Designate the GRET fund as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy: you can request this from your insurance provider either when you take out the policy or after you have taken it out. Please don’t hesitate to contact us for further information.

The GRET Support Fund

The GRET support fund supports solidarity actions led by GRET and its partners.

Since it was set up in 2011, 34 projects have been conducted, thanks to the support of private donors and the mobilisation of its own funds.

It focuses on facilitating the emergence of innovative solutions and on enabling their consolidation and upscaling.

The fund is managed by a board made up of GRET members, designated for their diverse expertise, and of 2 qualified individuals.

All bequests, donations and life insurance transferred to the fund are fully exempt from rights of transfer.
